Mr. Rowe's 3rd grade class was chosen as the first class of the week at Cold Spring Elementary. They were chosen for showing respectful behavior in the hallways, and using Spartan P.R.I.D.E. in the cafeteria.
Dear Student,
My name is Mr. Rowe and I am going to be your 3rd grade teacher this school year. I am looking forward to teaching you Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. I love teaching 3rd grade so much because I get to see you become an independent learner. This year we are going to put an emphasis on literacy and a love for reading. I look forward to hearing about the books you have read this summer.
I will be starting my 10th year as an elementary school teacher. Before coming to ROCORI Area Schools, I taught 4th and 6th grade in North Dakota. This will be my 5th year teaching 3rd grade at Cold Spring Elementary School. I have my education degree from Valley City State University and my master’s degree from St. Cloud State University.
My personal interests include coaching, reading, running, camping, and hanging with my family. This summer we spent 8 nights tent camping in Warroad, MN on the Lake of the Woods. My family includes my wife, Liz and two daughters, Avery (6) and Ainsley (2). When I am not teaching I coach the ROCORI Spartan Football team, and youth basketball for grades 2-6 grade.
We have a lot of interesting activities planned for you this school year; in the fall we will go to a play, and walk to the post office. In the winter we will have guest speakers and “I Love to Read” month. In the spring we will have the Dino Dig and swimming. As you can tell, we are going to be very busy this school year.
I would like to invite you and your family to the Cold Spring Elementary “Open House” on Wednesday, August 28th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. This is a great way to get all the information needed and find out all the ways that I keep in touch with families.
See you soon!
